Renegade Craft Fair

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say Hi at this past weekend’s SF Renegade Craft Fair! I met so many wonderful people and was blown away by the creativity of the other vendors. It was definitely the best craft show I’ve ever attended, and I plan to be back in 2011.
The booth was busy, so I didn’t get all the time I would have liked to photograph all the amazing products I saw, but here’s a sampling of my favorites.

Volta Press always stuns me with their top-notch letterpress, and this year they added some really fun items to their collection. One of my favorites was this set of letterpressed postcards made with vintage Mexican comic book art. !Booomb!
Another new very popular offering was their sets of letterpressed pickling and preserving tags. They will soon be offering them on their Volta Press Etsy site. Gentlemen, start your canning!

Volta Press was also selling my favorite piece of the Fair– a set of three prints they had letterpressed, drawn by illustrator Ben Catmull. I have wanted to purchase these for a long time, and seeing them again pushed me over the edge. I couldn’t be happier with them. The craftmanship and artistry are stunning! You have to see them close up to appreciate the intricacy and humor of the images.

I think I look smashing in this grey beard by Erin Dollar at imadeyouabeard, don’t you think? Get your own at her Etsy shop. If you are content to be clean-shaven, you might prefer her beard-related illustrations.

Pottery from Chandra Beck of Ezme designs… love it!

I was very covetous of the belt buckles from Urge to Adorn. They feature big, beautiful art and lead-free pewter and come in a wide range of styles. From someone who wears almost exclusively jeans and T-shirts, some belt-bling is just what I need!
