I am a long-time supporter of Save the Children, the world’s leading independent organization working to help children in need. They are a top-ranked charity which is efficient and effective at providing help to children around the world.  I like that they work not only around abroad, but also have a strong presence helping children within the United States.

USAID is currently matching donations to Save the Children that quadruple every dollar donated.  In support, I am holding a fundraiser sale from now until midnight, April 22, 2012.  For every purchase over $100 made through my Etsy site, I will donate $10 to Save the Children.  With USAID’s matching donation, Save the Children will receive $40 from your purchase.  You can buy any combination of non-custom items in my shop (shipping fees not included in $100 total).

This fundraiser is in conjunction with my ongoing donations for Breast Cancer Research through sales of my pink ribbon card sets.  Your purchase of pink ribbon cards can help two charities at once.
